What Counts as Business Day

Business Days Specific to Mortgage Loans include all days except Sundays and Legal Public Holidays. As per Regulation Z, there are ten Legal holidays. They are New Year's day, The birthday of Martin Luther King Jr., President's Day (Washington's Birthday), Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veteran's Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. If the Holiday falls on a a Saturday or Sunday and is observed on a Friday or Monday, the Friday or Monday are not considered Public Holidays and are considered business days.
