3.14- What Factors cannot be used to discriminate per ECOA?

The Equal Credit Opportunity Act prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, color, gender, national origin, ethnicity, receipt of public assistance, age, marital status.

Under the Act, it is illegal for an employer to discriminate against a job applicant based upon religion, color, race, sex (including sexual orientation, pregnancy, gender identity, pregnancy) national origin or age and disability.
