3.134- How should a Do-Not-Call request be handled?

Before making a cold call, companies must assure that the number is not on the Do not Call list and the company's internal do not call list.

Companies or callers must put the customer on their company's "Do Not Call" list, if asked by the consumer. Every firm must keep a “Do Not Call” list. If a client wants to stop sales calls from that firm, the caller's name and telephone number must to placed on the firm's “Do Not Call” by law.
